*Where can I access and use an installed version of PSPICE?
- Broun 123 Windows XP lab (public lab, also used for classes as posted). This is version 9.2 - the full professional installation. It will read student version (9.1) files, but it will convert them to v. 9.2, which then cannot be re-used by v. 9.1.
- Broun 308 Windows NT lab (public lab, also used for classes as posted - mainly in the afternoons)
* Where can I get my own copy of PSPICE? (the student version is
free).
INSTRUCTION, DOCUMENTATION, AND EXAMPLES
- Obtain a copy of the freshman computing initiative (FCI) CD, which includes PSPICE on Disk 1. This is the student version 9.1. When you install the student version, be sure to choose SCHEMATICS as your interface, not CAPTURE.
- Download locally from Dr. Roppel's web site (file name = 91pspstu.exe). This is the student version 9.1. When you install the student version, be sure to choose SCHEMATICS as your interface, not CAPTURE. (Note: the file size is about 28 MB)
- From the "horse's mouth"; www.orcad.com/products/pspice, then under Related Links select ORCAD Demo CD. Caution: the only version of PSPICE now provided or supported by ORCAD is version 10, which uses Capture as the user interface. We (Auburn ECE) are currently (as of Spring semester 2005) still using version 9 with Schematics as the user interface.
