College of Engineering / ICPS6 / Program
Program
ICPS6 will be organized with morning plenary keynote sessions followed by parallel technical sessions for two and a half days. To facilitate the IAPS mission of international colleague development, receptions will be held on Sunday and Monday evenings, and a conference dinner will be held on the Tuesday evening.
All papers will be peer reviewed. Selected papers will also be invited for publication in special issues of the International Journal of Protective Structures. Papers with the main author who is 35 years old or younger will be considered for the Best Young Researcher’s Paper Award based on both the quality of the paper and presentation.
All presentations and proceedings papers must be approved for public release. However, at the authors’ request, ICPS and the Defense Technical Information Center can help facilitate publishing of select controlled, unclassified papers submitted by U.S. researchers for publication in the Journal of DoD Research and Engineering (JDR&E).
Keynote Speakers
Each morning (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) will begin with keynote addresses by prominent researchers and directors at the forefront of protective structures technology development. Keynote plans include:
Dr. Jason Roth, Senior Research Scientist for Weapons Effects & Structural Dynamics, US Army Engineer Research and Development Center, USA
Prof. Dan Pope, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, UK
Dr. Marc Levitan, Lead Research Engineer, US National Institute of Standards and Technology
