Daniel Tauritz

The Auburn Cyber Research Center (ACRC) brings together faculty and students across disciplines and areas of cyber security research. ACRC Interim Director Daniel Tauritz has worked over the past 25 years in various scientific capacities in academic, government, military, and industry settings on innovating artificial intelligence solutions to complex national security problems. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE) at Auburn University (AU), a Guest Scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), the founding AU director of the LANL/AU Cyber Security Sciences Institute (CSSI), a cyber consultant at Sandia National Laboratories, and the founding director of AU’s Biomimetic National Security Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (BONSAI Lab). Below are listed the ACRC affiliated faculty members, representing a variety of academic departments within AU’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, and all conducting research in critical areas of cyber security.

Advisory Board

ACRC’s Advisory Board is constituted by the Business Advisory Council of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE). The advisory board is composed of a select group of alumni and other members of department constituency groups who hold senior leadership and executive positions in companies including Google, Morgan-Stanley, Visa International, Microsoft, and Siemens. The advisory board meets regularly each academic year, providing both our faculty and students direct and informal contacts with alumni working in industry, while also providing programmatic guidance and input for strategic planning and forging corporate partnerships.
