Research AMplification Program (RAMP)

In support of its vision to strengthen and accelerate discovery in polymers and AU CPAC has established the CPAC Research Amplification Program (RAMP). This program will allow AU faculty free access to the AU CPAC facilities to aid in start-up research for new faculty, obtain preliminary data, or conduct proof of concept studies. For more details on AU CPAC instrumentation and capabilities, click here or email aucpac@auburn.edu .

Eligibility

  • Open to all AU faculty. Faculty teams working on new collaborative projects are especially encouraged.

  • AU CPAC also encourages applications from graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with their supervisor’s approval.

Deadline

  • Rolling; submissions accepted throughout the year.

Selection

  • Projects will be selected based upon a) proposal quality, b) need for access to facilities, c) impact, and d) alignment with CPAC’s mission.
  • Upon selection, projects will receive up to $1000 worth of free AU CPAC Service Center facility/tool access and staff time, for a period of 12 months. The current user rates can be found here.

Expectations

Upon selection it is expected that:

  • CPAC facilities will be acknowledge on publications/presentations (see below).
  • CPAC will be included on the AU cover sheet on subsequent proposals that will utilize CPAC facilities and leverage preliminary data obtained using CPAC facilities.

Acknowledgments

CPAC supported research should be acknowledged in publications/presentations that are made possible by work performed at CPAC facilities.

  • Suggested Text: “This work was supported by the facilities in the Auburn University Center for Polymers and Advanced Composites.”
  • In presentations, listing AU CPAC along with your other acknowledgements is sufficient. If you wish to use the AU CPAC, please contact us – aucpac@auburn.edu
