The Our State, Our Lives: Alabama Wellbeing Survey is a statewide survey designed to understand the experiences, priorities, and perspectives of people living in rural, urban, and suburban communities across Alabama. The survey gives Alabamians an opportunity to share their views on issues affecting their households and communities, including community well-being, access to services, economic opportunities, household conditions, and perspectives on their communities and futures.

The survey was launched in 2025 by the Auburn University Rural Partnership Institute (AURPI). It is conducted biennially and surveys Alabama residents aged 18 and older from across the state. The next survey is planned for 2027. Over time, repeated survey questions will allow the survey to track changes in the experiences and perspectives of Alabamians, while additional questions can address emerging issues affecting communities.
