Become A Camp Counselor

Are you an Auburn Engineering student? Are you interested in helping students explore the field of engineering? If so, we want YOU to serve as an engineering camp counselor!

Our engineering camp counselors will serve as counselors for the following 2019 summer camps:

  • Senior Tigers Engineering Camp: July 14 - July 19
  • Junior Tigers Engineering Camp: July 14 - July18
  • Women in Engineering Camp: July 14 - July 17

Counselors will receive a summer stipend. All interested students must complete the application below by March 4, 2019. Students are notified if they are selected for an interview via email on March 8th.

2019 - 2020 Tomorrow's Community Innovator Camp Counselor and Mentoring Application

Information Sessions for this camp will be held:

  • February 20th, 2019 at 4:00 pm in Ross 202
  • February 21st at 4:00 pm in Ross 202

We are looking for students to show 8th -10th grade students from the Bessemer, AL area how engineers have a positive impact on society. This has several components:

  • Training during Spring 2019
  • Serving as a camp counselor June 9 – 14th
  • Mentoring 3 students during the 2019-2020 Academic Year
  • Text/Email/Social Media Phone Contact with ~4 students 1x/month August to June
  • Attend event in Fall 2019 in Bessemer AL
  • Attend EDAY Related events in February 2020

Mentors will receive $650 for serving as a camp counselor in the summer, $250 at the end of the Fall semester for completing that semester's activities, and $250 at the end of the Spring semester for completing those activities. Travel costs to the event in Bessemer will also be covered. We are looking for people who can commit to the activities in all 3 semesters (Summer 2019, Fall 2019, and Spring 2019).
