The Auburn University Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) offers three graduate degrees for students interested in Occupational Safety and Ergonomics.
Master of Industrial and Systems Engineering (MISE)
Non-thesis professional degree
Master of Science (MS)
Research, thesis based
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
In addition, students interested in Occupational Injury Prevention (OIP) may pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
Graduate Certificate
Students who graduate from any of these program have the option to earn a graduate certificate in Occupational Safety and Ergonomics in addition to their degree. Students not enrolled in OSE/IP are eligible to receive this certificate as well.
All graduate degrees require satisfactory completion of a departmental "core" curriculum that is discussed on the ISE departmental website Core Courses.
