The Drop is an annual competition for students in grades K–5, hosted by the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering at Auburn University. In this exciting event, young engineers design and build a prototype to protect a raw egg from breaking when dropped from increasing heights along the ramps of Jordan-Hare Stadium. The challenge encourages creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on problem solving as students explore basic engineering and physics concepts in a fun and engaging way. Participants receive a competition packet with rules and guidelines, and registration includes breakfast, a T-shirt, a medal, and fun engineering-themed goodies. How high can your egg survive the drop?
