Most people hate the eagles but more people hate the chiefs. So to make the most forgettable Super Bowl in the last 10 years a bit more fun I made these shirts.

I used Tinkercad to modify a cool-looking 3D model by enlarging it and making it hollow to create a container for holding loose change. Its 3D printed in marble color PLA.

I created a design where I wanted to put spotify codes on a piece of plastic yet still be able to see the code and scan it. I used sublimatiomn acrylic because it was the best material for the project as it was able to print out the colored picture with some clear plastic in front to make it solid and be able to be placed on a stand. I made the spotify stand using the self-service 3d printers in the maker space by designing it in solidworks.

Started on this project in November 2023, and finally finished it this summer. Majority of the work was done in the AU Makerspace with smaller things such as sanding, staining and finishing, and wiring was done at home over the summer. 

Materials and Specs:
Body: Swamp ash finished with a light cherry stain, tru oil, and wipe on poly
Neck: Maple finished with tru oil
Fretboard: Indian Rosewood
Bridge and Headpiece: Nova Guitar Parts
Pickups: Mark Holcomb Alpha and Omega 8 string set (Modified to be multiscale with custom brass backing plates)

For the guitar nerds, scale length is 26.5"-28"

I created this coat from scratch, called a Kefta, inspired by the book series turned Netflix show, Shadow and Bone. 

The coat was embroidered with the embroidery machine over the course of a week, then assembled and sewn together. It also features pockets and a liner for added comfort to prevent the scratchy feeling of the embroidery thread. 

I purchased the embroidery files on Etsy and they are saved into the craftworld computer if anyone wants to recreate it. 

We used the Speedy 360 Trotec laser cutter in the prototype shop to create a QR code to our AU-involve website for new members!

Using the haas as a lathe to turn nosecone tips for rocketry 

Made from 3D printed parts including PLA and resin printed pieces, aluminum tape, a switch, and a step-up voltage generator used in stun guns to generate a high voltage. The Ion thruster passes this high voltage through a small ring of aluminum tape with spikes facing the resin-printed nozzle that is covered in aluminum tape for conductivity. The distance between the spikey ring and the nozzle is adjustable by sliding the nozzle on the built-in track. The ion thruster works by ionizing the air and as the voltage jumps through the air passing to the nozzle it drags air molecules along for the ride, generating thrust through the center of the thruster. The attached video is this ion thruster with a voltage of 1.5 volts passing through it.

These are push rods designed to load packing into a 2.5” sanitary tube.

The black parts of the push rods were designed in SolidWorks and 3D printed in PLA using one of the Creality Ender 3 Pros in the maker space.

The rods are designed to be clamped to each end of a sanitary tube and utilize the incorporated stop collars to easily measure packing.
