3
Determine if you need to take the ALEKS math placement assessment

Do you need to take ALEKS? It depends! Please click the statement below that best describes you to find out more information.

No, you are not required to take ALEKS. You will receive more information on math placement at Camp War Eagle.

It is recommended that you take ALEKS; however, we will allow overrides so you may enroll in a math course based on anticipated scores. We have a process by which the Assistant Dean meets with each student awaiting AP/IB scores to determine appropriate math placement during advising on Day 2 at Camp War Eagle.

If your dual enrollment math course is equivalent to the required prerequisite (MATH 1130 or MATH 1150 -Pre-Cal Trigonometry) to place into MATH 1610 (Calculus) at Auburn, you do not have to take the ALEKS math placement assessment. However, if you have taken the equivalent to MATH 1000 (College Algebra) or MATH 1120 (Pre-Cal Algebra), it is RECOMMENDED that you take the ALEKS math placement assessment. To learn more about math placement at Auburn, please visit this link aub.ie/mathplacement

  6. Keep in mind, you will have 3 attempts to achieve your goal math score.
4
Complete the Pre-Advising Form

https://aub.ie/preadvisingform2025.

All engineering students are required to complete a Pre-Advising Form. To help us prepare for your arrival, please complete this as soon as possible. This pre-advising form will notify your advisor of anticipated credit from AP/IB exams as well as dual enrollment. Your academic advisor will use this information to create a preliminary advising plan for your first semester in engineering and review it with you on day 2 of camp.

5
Submit final transcripts from the institution (not high school) for any dual enrollment credit.

Please be sure to bring a copy of your dual enrollment transcripts with you to Camp War Eagle.

At the completion of your final term, you must request your transcript be sent to Auburn with all final grades reported. Transcripts should be mailed to:

AU Enrollment Operations
1550 East Glenn Ave, Suite 1210
Auburn, AL 36849

If your institution offers secure electronic transcript delivery through email, the transcript can be sent to webadms@auburn.edu.

6
Submit updated AP and IB test scores.

Please be sure to bring a copy of your scores with you to Camp War Eagle.

AP credit should be sent directly from the College Board website: https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/ and select Auburn University as the recipient.

For IB credit, the transcript of results needs to be sent directly from the International Baccalaureate website: https://ibo.org/programmes/diploma-programme/assessment-and-exams/requesting-transcripts/ and select Auburn University as the recipient.

Planning to take summer courses?

Students who are interested in taking courses this summer at other institutions should reach out to our Transfer Specialist, Mrs. Laura Olds at engtran@auburn.edu.

Please note: Students taking math courses this summer will not receive an override at Camp War Eagle to enroll in a math course for fall semester. You will register for your fall math course once Auburn has received your final transcripts. Or, you can take the ALEKS math placement assessment prior to camp to be eligible to register for a math course while at camp.
