Overview

Microfluidic Platform Development for Biomedical Application

One undergraduate research assistant position is available to support Dr. Elizabeth Lipke's work within the Department of Chemical Engineering in developing a microfluidic platform for biomedical applications.

Duties

  • Design parts, housings, mechanisms, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Validate, test, and iterate on both existing mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Build 3D CAD models parts and assemblies.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CAD and 3D printing
  • Experience with machining
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical component design, analysis, and validation
  • Hands-on skills and comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
  • Experience at Makerspace

Hours Per Week + Pay Rate

  • 10 hours per week
  • Pay rate is to be determined
