Through statewide surveys, AURPI's Social Science Team is providing valuable data that helps researchers, community leaders, and industry partners better understand the people and communities that drive Alabama! The Our State, Our Lives: Alabama Wellbeing Survey examines the experiences of residents across rural, suburban, and urban communities, exploring topics such as financial wellbeing, caregiving responsibilities, workforce participation, and quality of life. Complementing this effort is the Alabama Farm Poll, launched in 2025 to capture the perspectives of the state's agricultural producers. Conducted every two years, the poll gathers insight into farmers' quality of life, the challenges they face, and the opportunities shaping the future of Alabama agriculture. Together, these surveys provide data-driven insights that inform research, outreach, and decision-making while further supporting AURPI's mission to strengthen rural communities and the industries that sustain them.
