Asphalt Lab Technician Recertification

 

Course Details:

  • Designed for technicians involved in aggregate and asphalt testing for airfields
  • Topics include sampling, mix design, moisture susceptibility, volumetrics, UFGS specs
  • 3.5-day course
  • Certification valid for 4 years

Eligibility & Specifications

  • 3 years lab experience or 2-year engineering degree + 1 year lab experience
  • CEUs: 2.4 or 24 PDHs

QC Manager Recertification

 

Course Details

  • Prepares staff overseeing QC on airfield asphalt projects
  • Topics include QC basics, UFGS specs, mix design review and adjustment, plant inspection, surface prep, acceptance criteria
  • 2.5-day interactive lecture format
  • Certification valid for 4 years

Eligibility & Specifications

  • Must hold Lab Tech or Inspector certification
  • Eligibility: 4 years asphalt experience or 2-year engineering education + 2 years experience
  • CEUs: 1.6 or 16 PDHs
