ACRC offers comprehensive facilities and state-of-the art resources for enhancing and supporting cybersecurity research. Made possible through the generosity of Auburn University Research Advisory Board Member, Leslee Belluchie and her husband Rick Knop, the lab is named after retired Lt. Gen. Ronald Lee Burgess, Auburn University’s Chief Operating Officer and a 38-year Army veteran who spent much of his career in military intelligence, including 15 years in the Department of Defense and three years as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. The Burgess Cyber Laboratory is used throughout the year to conduct cyber research, house specialty equipment, and host meetings with research sponsors and collaborators. It is also a meeting space for students, including for the weekly meetings of the student-led Ethical Hacking Club.
