Auburn University is offering a sustainable technologies and practices course in Pamplona, Spain. This opportunity is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors in all majors. The deadline for course registration is March 1, 2016.
The four-week summer program, scheduled for May 22-June 18, 2016, will include classroom instruction in renewable energy, efficient building design and transportation. Outside of the classroom, students will visit wind and solar farms as well as biomass conversion facilities and a wastewater treatment plant.
Located near the French border, Pamplona dates to Roman times and is situated in the Navarre Region, in the foothills of the Pyrenees range. Opportunities for sightseeing include tours of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Royal Palace of Olite and more.
