The 2014-2015 Auburn men's basketball awards banquet was held on April 19, celebrating Bruce Pearl’s inaugural year at Auburn. The event honored two students from the College of Engineering—students who excelled both on the court and in the classroom. Devin Waddell, a junior in chemical engineering from Summerfield, North Carolina, won the Outstanding Defensive Player Award. Waddell played 27 games this season including all four games at the SEC tournament and drew seven charges. Patrick Keim, a freshman in civil engineering, was awarded the Bill Lynn Academic Award. The walk-on guard from Birmingham, was a valuable member of the scout team and finished his first year at Auburn with a 3.81 GPA.
