Daniela Marghitu, faculty member in Auburn University’s Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering and founding director of Auburn’s Laboratory for Educational and Assistive Technology, has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the National Science Foundation’s (NSF)Committee on Equal Opportunities in Science and Engineering.

The NSF is an independent federal agency created to promote the progress of science; to advance national health, prosperity and welfare; and to secure national defense. The agency seeks to keep the U.S. on the leading edge of discovery in all scientific areas.
