The 6th Annual Elements of Mechanical Engineering Conference will be held November 9 -10, 2008 (Sunday and Monday - Homecoming Weekend) at the Marriot Lodge and Conference Center in Opelika, Ala. The venue is first class and located on the Grand National championship golf course. Conference features include: meeting and networking with alumni and other professional engineers, meeting current and emeriti faculty, a presentation of the department mission and program with open discussion, and several engineering workshops. A conference dinner will be held Sunday evening with a guest speaker to be announced.  Professional Engineers - you will earn 15 Professional Development Hours for attendance.

Our guest speaker this year is Raymond Monroe, Executive Vice President, Steel Founders' Society of America.  He will be giving a presentation entitled "Understanding India and China in a Global Economy"
