Research:

My parallel processing research started with parallelization of time-consuming computational tasks, e.g., image processing, simulation, and optimization, and then evolved into investigation of more general and broader issues such as task mapping and scheduling, load balancing, etc. Meanwhile, a research project initiated as an application of digital image processing to electron-beam proximity effect correction grew into a series of research efforts encompassing various related topics in computational lithography and nanofabrication.
