May 6 – May 13, 2004

There have been no posting as there has been little to report. The following are things of note between May 6 and May 13.

New, straighter cast, Monday, May 10. A temporary pain setback. This is the last and should come off next week.

Last IV anti-biotic tomorrow (we think) at which time her PIC tube will be removed.

First mention of a possible release date, June 1 – possible being the operative word. Both exciting and frightening. She will need extensive outpatient therapy and, of course, a hip replacement in the fall. We remain uncertain as to the outpatient facility she will use.

Our last day in the free apartment is this Sunday. Susan will stay with Charles and Nancy Carlson, friends of 26 years, in Marietta – a 45 minute drive.
