As we work to build better-performing and lower life-cycle cost pavements, NAPA, NCAT, and MnROAD have established the NextPAVE Challenge to showcase emerging technologies that are feasible and ready for mainstream practice in pavement construction and rehabilitation.
The competition invites companies to have their technologies evaluated through a transparent 2-phase process. In Phase 1, participants will submit their technology for laboratory characterization, state-of-the-art pavement modeling, life-cycle evaluations, and a scalability assessment.
At the end of Phase 1, an independent panel of expert judges will select the top technologies to be featured and validated in Phase 2 during the next cycles of the NCAT Test Track and MnROAD. These two full-scale pavement testing facilities have long been proving grounds for testing and validating cutting-edge innovations.
