Our
home looks both to the past and the future. It is
a mixture of cutting-edge technology and southern
comfort.
Our
goal was to create an interesting architectural form
that promotes continuity with existing positive southern
cultural norms and values and that avoids identification
with negative cultural stereotypes. Like southern
homes from times past, ours works with nature by employing
natural convective systems, showcases a variety of
materials in their natural form, and provides a choice
of environments for those who live there in terms
of scale, privacy, appearance, and environmental exposure.
Throughout, the ability to accommodate advanced technology
and support a modern lifestyle is carefully balanced
by comfort. We hope we've succeeded in capturing both
the energy of the sun and the feeling of warmth it
