Finish in 5

Are you a graduate engineering student with great presentation skills? Do you know someone who can communicate their difficult research topic effectively to a wide audience? The Council of Engineering Graduate Students invites faculty, staff and students to submit applications and nominations for the Finish in 5 event.

If selected, you will be challenged to give a 5 minute rapid-fire presentation on your research project. You may use as many slides as you want, but you will only have 5 minutes and not a second more to give a clear overview of your complicated topic. You will be speaking in front of your peers and colleagues, but most importantly a panel of faculty judges from the School of Engineering. These judges will rate your presentation on clarity, organization, and speaking ability and the winner will receive a cash prize.

This competition was created to recognize engineering graduate students with outstanding oral and technical presentation skills, as well as their contributions to their field of research through conference presentations, seminars and invited speeches.

We need your help to make this event a success! Nominate yourself, your student, or your colleague for this exciting competition!

Nominations are closed.
