The Engineering Academic Excellence Program (AEP) is preparing to welcome a cohort of admitted high school seniors to campus on Monday, March 28, for STEM Preview Day. Co-hosted by the College of Sciences and Mathematics’ Office of Inclusion, Equity and Diversity, STEM Preview Day returns to an in-person format for the first time since 2019 and offers prospective students the opportunity to interact with current students, faculty, staff and alumni from both colleges to identify the STEM field that interests them most.

“We are looking forward to welcoming these students and their families to campus and giving them just a taste of the Auburn Engineering experience,” said Celeste Waugh, AEP program coordinator. “This event is a great introduction to all of the STEM disciplines Auburn has to offer.”

High school students and their families will be paired with an engineering alum who will discuss their interests in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. They will then guide the visiting prospective students to each academic department to learn more about the various engineering disciplines.

During their time on campus, prospective students will also have the opportunity to hear from various campus partners, including Camp War Eagle, financial aid, scholarships and university housing.

“This is an excellent opportunity for these admitted students still considering Auburn to picture themselves on campus and become familiar with all of the student support services Auburn students have available,” Waugh said. “We hope these high school students walk away with a sense of the Auburn Family and ultimately choose to attend Auburn in the fall.”
