Cyber leaders to discuss digital supply chain risks during Auburn University virtual event

Auburn University’s McCrary Institute will host cyber leaders from across the country Friday, April 30, during a virtual event titled “Illuminating Digital Supply Chain Risk.”

As cyber threats to the global digital supply chain continue to grow, there is emerging policy support for a bill of materials approach to illuminate and manage risks associated with digital subcomponents. As always, the challenges lie in the details of implementation.

The panel discussion, which begins at 10 a.m. CT, will be moderated by McCrary Institute Senior Fellow Cheri Caddy, who also serves as Senior Cybersecurity Fellow and Senior Advisor for Cybersecurity for the U.S. Department of Energy.

Joining Caddy on the panel is Ginger Wright, cyber program manager for the Idaho National Laboratory; Allan Friedman, director of cyber initiatives for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration;  Chris Blask, global director of applied innovation for Unisys; and Edna Conway, vice president and chief security and risk officer for Microsoft Azure.
