Civil and Environmental engineering senior receives prestigious Chi Epsilon scholarship

Civil and environmental engineering senior Allison Licavoli was recently awarded the 2020 John A. Focht National Chi Epsilon Scholarship. Chi Epsilon, the civil engineering honor society, awards just 11 national and nine district scholarships annually.

“From a very young age, I learned the importance of hard work, and I feel that earning a National Chi Epsilon scholarships shows just how much hard work can pay off,” Licavoli said.

In addition to her excellence in the classroom, Licavoli has played an active role in Chi Epsilon. She currently serves as the president of the Auburn chapter.

She contributes her ongoing success to her professors, Tiffany Sippial, director of the Honors College, and Chi Epsilon advisor Brian Anderson.

“Auburn and the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering have not only challenged me academically, they’ve provided me with countless leadership opportunities,” Licavoli said. “I’m truly honored to receive this scholarship.”
