Seybold to present as part of Ginn Lecture Series

Andrew Seybold Sr., CEO and principal analyst at Andrew Seybold Inc., will be speaking in conjunction with the Ginn Lecture Series on Friday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m. in 1120 Shelby Center.

Seybold, in a discussion of “The new stewards of the radio spectrum,” will examine trends in mobile technology and convergence. He has been involved in the wireless industry for more than 35 years and has shaped initiatives for corporate leaders including Verizon, Nokia, AT&T, Motorola and Qualcomm. His firm has provided wireless consulting and education services for startups and Fortune 1000 companies, including Dow Chemical, Ford Motor Company and Microsoft.

In 1995 he co-founded Andrew Seybold Wireless University, which has been attended by thousands of industry professionals and has provided the most in-depth educational program of its kind in the wireless industry.

Seybold earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Northwest University and holds multiple Federal Communications Commission licenses.

The Ginn Lecture Series presentation will include opening remarks from the college's namesake, Samuel Ginn, and Christopher Roberts, dean of engineering.
