Auburn University is offering a sustainable technologies and practices course in Pamplona, Spain. This opportunity is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors in all majors.
The four-week summer program, scheduled for June 2015, will include classroom instruction in renewable energy, efficient building design and transportation. Outside of the classroom, students will visit wind and solar farms as well as biomass conversion facilities and a wastewater treatment plant.
Located near the French border, Pamplona dates back to Roman times and is situated in the Navarre Region, in the foothills of the Pyrenees range. Opportunities for sightseeing will abound for students, including tours of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Royal Palace of Olite and more.
The program is sponsored by Auburn University’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering.
Deadline for course registration is Feb. 1, 2015.
