Chairman of SRC Computers, director of Intel to speak on Friday

D. James Guzy, chairman of SRC Computers, Inc., will be the guest lecturer at the Alabama Micro/Nano Science and Technology Center Interdisciplinary Seminar on Friday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. in Broun Hall 239. Guzy will outline the thoughts of Seymour Cray - known as the father of supercomputing and the co-founder, along with Guzy, of SRC Computers - regarding future high-performance computer architecture and the technology used in his last computer design. The university community is invited to attend this lecture.

Guzy has been a director of Intel since 1969 and is chairman of the board's finance committee. He is also chairman of PLX Technology, Inc. and a director of Cirrus Logic Inc., directorships within the AllianceBernstein and Davis Funds Complexes. He is a director of Inapac Technology, Inc. and SRC Computers, Inc. (both private entities). He has been a director emeritus of LogicVision, Inc. since 2005 and retired as director of Tessera Technologies, Inc. in 2005.
