Engineering Friends and Alumni Raise $12,000 at Golf Tournament

Auburn University faculty members and civil engineers, utility officials, contractors and vendors from around the state raised more than $12,000 at the 9 th Annual Civil Engineering Scholarship Endowment Golf Tournament held at Tannehill National Golf Course in McCalla this August.

The event is organized each year by Jim Watterson, manager of the American Cast Iron Pipe Company's Birmingham District Sales Office and Dennis Hill, senior project manager for Brasfield and Gorrie.

"This is a wonderful chance for engineering professionals to get together for a little fun and to support a good cause," says Watterson. "It also provides a great chance for us to visit one-on-one with our counterparts in the academic community to discuss issues relating to our profession."
