Subhash Sinha Named Editor of Journal of Computational and Nonlinear Dynamics
Auburn University's Subhash Sinha, a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has been named editor of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers' Journal of Computational and Nonlinear Dynamics, a new academic journal to be released in September that will serve as a resource for exchanging original research results in theoretical and applied dynamics.
Sinha is a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and an associate fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He is also a member of the American Academy of Mechanics, the Society of Automotive Engineers and Sigma Xi honor society. He serves on the ASME publications committee and Design Engineering Division, which he chairs.
As director of the Nonlinear Systems Research Laboratory for the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sinha has been involved in the creation of the journal for the past four years. He will serve a five year term as editor.
"The process of choosing an editor from some of the top scientists and engineers all over the world is rigorous and competitive," said Dean of Engineering Larry Benefield. "Dr. Sinha is a veteran teacher and researcher who has the breadth of experience necessary to move this journal forward."
