Campus Food Drive Beats Hunger

Engineering students are helping beat Bama this fall by participating in the Beat Bama Food Drive through their department.

Students are competing against each other to see which department can collect the most pounds to feed the hungry. Students are invited to participate by placing non-perishables in boxes located at their department's building entrance or in the student lounges.

A "Can-o-Meter" placed outside the dean's office displays the progress of the various departments. The competition runs through Nov. 18.

All cans collected through the effort benefit the University's Beat Bama Food Drive, which donates all collected food to the East Alabama Food Bank. The Food Drive is in its eleventh year and pits Auburn University against The University of Alabama to see which student body can raise the most food.
