Textile Engineering Student Receives Scholarship

Auburn University student Mellany George, a senior in textile engineering, has been selected by the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International Education Board to receive a $750 scholarship. George, from Birmingham, will also receive a one-year student membership to AACE international.

In 2003, Mellany and her twin sister Melody, also a textile engineering senior, were two of seven Auburn engineering students awarded $2,500 National Academy for Nuclear Training scholarships. They were also named NASA Space Grant Scholars, receiving $1,000 each for their academic achievement and promise for a scientific or technological career.
