Giuliani Leads AU Global Leadership Conference
DBirmingham, Ala. -- Top business leaders from around the globe will join former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, renowned business author Dr. Stephen Covey, business icon Donald Trump and former GE leader Jack Welch for The Tenth Annual Worldwide Luminary Series Conference, to be broadcast live on October 13 from the Arlington Convention Center in Dallas.
As one of 60 top American colleges and universities selected to host this prestigious leadership event, Auburn University's Business and Engineering Outreach will present the intensive live one-day program to a closed-circuit audience at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Center. The program, produced by LumaCore in cooperation with FORTUNE magazine, represents the world's largest public business event, with an estimated audience of more than 50,000 conference participants in 30 countries.
In addition to Giuliani, Covey, Trump and Welch, the list of presenters for 2004 features other world-renowned business experts, including executive coach and business advisor Ram Charan, finance expert Suze Orman, and personal and professional development expert Brian Tracy. Participants will also share the insight and experience of top CEOs and other practitioners during an exclusive FORTUNE Executive Panel discussion.
Giuliani's rock-solid leadership during New York City's darkest hours of the September 11th terrorist attacks earned him global praise and admiration. His tireless managing efforts to restore the city and the morale of its residents during the aftermath inspired TIME magazine to name him Person of the Year for 2001.
With the release of his new book, The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness, in November, Dr. Covey continues to build on the groundbreaking guidance for life and leadership offered in his highly acclaimed bestseller, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, which has sold 15 million copies in over 37 languages.
Donald Trump's real estate empire includes some of New York's most successful landmarks, such as the world-renowned Trump Tower, Trump Palace and Trump Plaza. Called a "one-woman financial advice powerhouse" by USA Today, Suze Orman has transformed the way millions of people think and act about money. She is the author of four consecutive New York Times bestsellers, including The 9 Steps to Financial Freedom, and has written, co-produced and hosted four PBS specials and hosts her own highly rated national television show.
Acclaimed speaker and author Ram Charan has coached some of the world's most successful CEOs and has worked behind the scenes at companies such as GE, DuPont and Ford. As a leading authority on the development of human potential and personal effectiveness, Brian Tracy speaks to more than 250,000 men and women each year, including executives and staff from IBM, Deloitte Touche and McDonnell Douglas.
The Luminary Series is designed to help organizations inspire and cultivate leadership at every level through the discussion of crucial and timely business topics with the leading minds in business management.
