Tom and Jean Walter ABM Fellowship

Tom and Jean Walter ABM Fellowship

Thanks to a generous gift from Tom and Jean Walter, this accelerated bachelor's-to-master's fellowship supports undergraduate engineering students passionate about product design and innovation. Selected students will take two graduate-level courses in Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 and earn $2,500 per course, $5,000 total, for earning a B or higher.

Students have three options when enrolling in courses:
- Students with a 3.4 or higher GPA have the ability to accelerate these two courses through the ABM program to count towards both undergraduate and future graduate degrees.

- Honors students with a 3.2 GPA can take both courses and count towards their undergraduate degree, graduate degree in the future, and honors course requirements. No ABM form is required.

- Students with a 3.0 GPA have the ability to take these courses is addition to the required undergraduate courses and still count them towards future graduate degrees.

*Not all undergraduate programs will allow for these courses to count toward an undergraduate degree. Please check with your academic advisor to verify if the course can count towards your undergraduate degree. This will not stop you from enrolling, the courses will just be additional credits.
