Congratulations! You are going to be an Auburn engineer soon. We are so excited you have decided to join the family. Our faculty, staff, and especially academic advisors are looking forward to meeting you to help you create a plan for your first semester in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering at Auburn University!
Please carefully read and follow each step below to ensure you have the best experience possible this summer!
The first step in your academic journey is to register for Camp War Eagle (CWE), the orientation program designed for all incoming freshmen. Auburn will host 12 in-person sessions scheduled for the months of May, June, and July.
During CWE, you will:
- Meet your CWE Camp Counselor and other incoming freshman students while you learn more about Auburn.
- Discover campus resources and departments to help you succeed at Auburn.
- Connect with your academic advisor and prepare to register for classes.
Camp War Eagle registration will open on Tuesday, March 26th at 1PM.
Register for Camp War Eagle Orientation
Engineering students are required to complete ALL steps PRIOR to attending camp.
- Watch our virtual Pre-Camp Information Session
During this session, we reviewed math placement, AP credit, dual enrollment, and what to expect on Day 2 of Camp War Eagle.

- Complete the Pre-Advising Form
All engineering students are required to complete a Pre-Advising Form at least 2 weeks prior to their camp war eagle session. This pre-advising form will notify your advisor of anticipated credit from AP/IB exams as well as dual enrollment. Your academic advisor will use this information to create a preliminary advising plan for your first semester in engineering and review it with you on day 2 of camp.
- Submit final transcripts from the institution (not high school) for any dual enrollment credit.
Please be sure to bring a copy of your dual enrollment transcripts with you to camp war eagle.
At the completion of your final term, you must request your transcript be sent to Auburn with all final grades reported. Transcripts should be mailed to:

Please note: Students taking math courses this summer will not receive an override at Camp War Eagle to enroll in a math course for fall semester. You will register for your fall math course once Auburn has received your final transcripts. Or, you can take the ALEKS math placement assessment prior to camp to be eligible to register for a math course while at camp.
Please note that College of Engineering students DO NOT need to bring a laptop to Camp War Eagle. We have computer labs in our college.
