Seminar on structural health monitoring through Science of Signatures

Douglas Adams, professor and chair of civil and environmental engineering and professor of mechanical engineering at Vanderbilt University, will present a seminar titled “Structural Health Monitoring through The Science of Signatures,” on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. in 136 Ross Hall. Adams will discuss The Science of Signatures, a methodology that blends dynamic measurements with physical models to illuminate, among other things, degradation mechanisms in materials and machines. The seminar will also highlight advances in structural health monitoring, as well as the capabilities of a new laboratory in Vanderbilt’s School of Engineering in order to foster collaborations.

Everyone is invited to come and join the conversation.
