Work Order Request Website   Personelle: Need 2 UID members. Project to create website to support CSSE system admin. Client:Ms. Kelly Price - 8 weeks Project Personelle: Idea for project I could also plan to have a group in my class create a request system for you and you can use it as you please. That would save you the time of building one. I would need 4 hours of your time over the next 8 weeks and system will be complete by thanksgiving. Folks can place a trouble report, they could assign a priority, you can assign a priority that you the admin would see only. There could be a couple of things like. Trouble|Request Report Opened TR Reviewed or RR Reviewed Trouble Scheduled (you could schedule which week you plan to visit the TReport) Trouble Report Closed that would send an email to interested party that reported the trouble. Also I think priority would be good so if a server goes down and is entered as a high priority request that will come to the top of the list or just appear in red, then after you review you can reassign priority if it isn't something as urgent as that and schedule on a calendar of when you will revisit that request. The benefit is with the log folks would get a chance to see the tons of requests that's if you kept history reviewable or you could have that only reviewable by you the admin. Log might get us resources for you to hire a full time assistant if you wanted to pursue that... |

There are several tools for user password authentication. Most papers researched the security of a tool, and
some did studies to find some aspect of a tool's usability. In this project, we plan to look at three systems and propose an improved system that may incorporate best practices of existing mechanisms for password retrieval (user term matching preferences, user chosen questions, predefined questions).

PAIRS Broadening Participation in Computing Search Website Redesign & Implementation: Personelle: Need 2-3 UID members to gather requirements,Design and Implement IFrame for PAIRS BPC Search. The original proposal outlined two levels of users for PAIRS, the resource developer and the web client. We are planning for two levels of users: people/organizations that provide online resources for increasing participation of under-represented groups in computing, and the users of such web sites. The developer/resource provider audience can put the PAIRS service on their own portals/web sites for their target groups. Examples include BPC alliances and demonstration projects, organizations like the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, and services like the UMBC Center for Women and Information Technology. Their end users include anyone who wants to increase participation of under-represented groups in computing: parents, university faculty, K-12 teachers, outreach coordinators, and even students wanting to conduct their own outreach projects or find information. PAIRS will give all these end users access to resources they may not be aware of; the embedded search criteria will help them to easily refine their searches.

iPhone Geo-Spatial Information systems. This website will demonstrate the current research of the iphone’s Navigation system and provide a map using Google API to demonstrate the position of the iPhone’s user. To make the website work, items are also included as general information, people, publications, contact information. Effort will be to design and implement Web User Interface, Programming the iphone to upload location details to the Web Server. This Project involves key areas like web development, designing user interfaces for displaying geospatial information, passing on the details from the apple iphone to the web server and extracting the same from the web server when needed by the user and importantly programming in the apple iphone using Objective C Programming Language.
