Set up for using Cadence ToolsΒΆ

You need to first have an engineering user account. Create a .bashrc file if you do not have one. Edit your .bashrc file to include the following configurations:

export CDS_Netlisting_Mode="Analog"
export CDS_AUTO_64BIT=spectre
export CDS_LIC_FILE=27008@perseus.eng.auburn.edu
#export CDS_ROOT=/linux_apps/cadence/IC

# Set up Assura
export ASSURAHOME=/linux_apps/cadence/assura/3.2
export PATH=$ASSURAHOME/tools/bin:$ASSURAHOME/tools/assura/bin:$PATH

# Set up IC (change for Cadence 5 or 6)
export CDS=/linux_apps/cadence/IC
#export CDS=/linux_apps/cadence/IC615
export CDS_ROOT=/linux_apps/cadence
export PATH=$CDS/tools/bin:$CDS/tools/dfII/bin:$CDS/bin:$PATH
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$CDS_ROOT/MMSIM111/tools/lib/64bit:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

# Set up MMSIM.
export PATH=/linux_apps/cadence/MMSIM/tools/bin:/linux_apps/cadence/MMSIM/tools/inca/bin:$PATH

# Set up IUS 8.2
#export IUSROOT=/linux_apps/cadence/IUS
#export PATH=/linux_apps/cadence/IUS/tools/bin:$PATH

# Set up SOC 8.1.1
export SOCHOME=/linux_apps/cadence/SOC
export PATH=$SOCHOME/bin:$SOCHOME/tools/simvision/bin:$PATH

Source it before you proceed. Then you can run cadence tools.
