Valerie Tardif is Vice President of Algorithms at SmartOps.  Among her responsibilities at SmartOps, she directs the design of solution procedures for inventory optimization, network design, and other supply chain management problems. She also participates in the deployment of SmartOps’ solutions to customers across a wide range of industries. Previously, Valerie served as a faculty member in the Operations Research and Industrial Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin and on the research staff of Siemens AG.  Valerie has a B.S. from McGill University, a M. Math. from University of Waterloo, and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University in Industrial Engineering and Management Science.  Valerie lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her husband and children.
