New PhD Student Position on Low Noise Zener Diode Fall 2024

The scope of this PhD research project includes:

  1. understand the device physics of avalanche noise in Zener diodes through impedance field based noise TCAD and modeling, with calibration to silicon data.

  2. experimentally characterize the noise current and voltage,

  3. optimize the device design to reduce noise.

A BS/MS degree in EE/Physics with a strong background in solid-state devices is required.

Interested students should contact me by email and attach your CV, and submit a graduate application online.

New PhD Student Position on Compact Modeling Fall 2024

The SiGe/Mextram group at Auburn University is seeking a new PhD student/Graduate Research Assistant interested in SiGe HBT compact modeling development to work on development of world standard transistor model Mextram. A BS/MS degree in EE/Physics with good background in the following areas is desired:

  • Semiconductor device physics, bipolar transistor physics in particular

  • Computer programming/debugging in verilog-A, python and Matlab

  • Compact modeling of transistors for circuit simulation

Interested students should contact me by email and attach your CV.
