Course Description: Application of reaction rate laws, equilibrium relationship, and stoichiometry to chemical engineering problems. Application of mass, mole and energy balance concept to design and operation of chemical reactors.
Course Objectives: This
course is intended to provide the CHEN juniors with the ability; to analyze and
design chemical reactors; to apply mole balance, thermodynamic principles,
pertinent physical principles collectively into reactor design equations; to
use mathematical tools, by calculus and by way of software, for design
computations of complex reactor system.
