Research Synopsis
My prime area of interest is Wireless Networks. I am particularly interested in certain aspects of Sensor Networking regarding energy efficient routing. My current work involves improving the lifetime of dense sensor networks by using probabilistic and sub-optimal routing methods. The principal challenge is to maintain an upper bound on the latency caused due to routing delay and number of hops.
I am also interested in Cross Layer optimization of Wireless Networks to improve the throughput. This involves deciding adaptive methods of choosing modulation and coding schemes to best exploit the prevailing channel conditions.
