Biography

Pradeep Lall is the Thomas Walter Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Associate Director of the NSF Center for Advanced Vehicle Electronics at Auburn University.  

 

Dr. Lall has ten years of industry experience.  He was previously with Motorola’s Wireless Technology Center.  He has served as Assistant Director of the CALCE Electronic Packaging Center, prior to joining Motorola.  

 

He has published extensively in the area of electronic packaging with emphasis on modeling and predictive techniques.  He is lead author of the book titled "Influence of Temperature on Microelectronic and System Reliability" published by CRC Press.  

 

Dr. Lall is recipient of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering Senior Faculty Research Award in 2007.  He is a Six-Sigma Black-Belt in Statistics.  He is the recipient of Three-Motorola Outstanding Innovation Awards. He holds several-patents and engineering awards.  Dr. Lall is an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Components and Packaging Technologies, IEEE Transactions on Manufacturing and ASME Journal of Electronic Packaging.  He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honorary Society.
