Auburn's Wireless Engineering Research and Education Center (WEREC) is the focal point for cross-disciplinary wireless academic activities, supporting faculty from a wide range of disciplines including Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering and Math. The interdisciplinary activities of the center enhance the ability of the faculty to attract research funding and provide an unmatched educational experience at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The mission of the Wireless Engineering Research and Education Center is to develop and maintain a wireless engineering curriculum and research program that will drive Auburn University to excel in the theoretical and practical aspects of wireless technologies that are dramatically changing the world we live in and the way humans and machines communicate.
