Dr. Steve Duke has been named interim director of the Alabama Center for Paper and Bioresource Engineering. Dr. Duke is associate professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Auburn University.
Chemical Engineering department chair Dr. Christopher Roberts said, "Dr. Duke has graciously agreed to accept this interim position and I am certain that he will provide outstanding leadership to the AC-PABE center, its foundation, its students and associated faculty while we continue to search for a permanent director."
The Alabama Center for Paper and Bioresource Engineering provides undergraduate, graduate and continuing education in science and engineering relevant to the needs of the pulp, paper and bio-resource industries, conducts fundamental and applied research in line with the industry's research agenda, develops and transfers technology to the industry consistent with the industry's technology vision and provides timely technical information to the operating sector of the industry.
