  • There is no GRE requirement.

To complete the program you must...

  • Complete three courses (9 credit hours) in mechanical engineering graduate (6000/7000/8000 level) course work, including the core courses:
    • MECH 6230 Friction, Wear and Lubrication  3 hours
    • MECH 6240 Boundary and Full-Film Lubrication  3 hours
    • MECH 6250 Multiscale Contact Mechanics  3 hours

*View a full Mechanical Engineering course list and descriptions. Graduate courses are those listed as level ”6000” and up. Those that are also offered online have a corresponding listing with a course section beginning in "D" (e.g., MECH6230 Dxx). The course section will change from term to term.

What can you expect?

  • Students who complete the graduate certificate will have an increased specialized knowledge in tribology engineering.
