Why this degree?

The Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering provides students an opportunity to use scientific principles and engineering concepts and practices to design, build, test and operate aerospace, aviation and aeronautical systems and vehicles, including involvement in the design, development and production of vehicles for flight, both in and beyond the atmosphere.

You are eligible to apply if...

You have earned a high school diploma with a high school GPA and ACT/SAT scores that meet current Auburn admission requirements, or you are a transfer student from a junior college with coursework that has been articulated.

To complete the program you must...

Complete the following courses within the second year (four semesters), and have completed 31 hours by sophomore standing, with a minimum 2.2 cumulative GPA:

  • Two calculus courses
  • Two sciences with appropriate labs
  • COMP1200 (Introduction to Programming)
  • ENGR1100 (Orientation to Engineering) and ENGR1110 (Introduction to Engineering)

What can you expect?

You will work with an academic adviser in the department to create a plan of study. The Department Chair is Brian Thurow thurobs@auburn.edu
