2014 IPMHVC Lodging and Transportation Information
The primary conference hotel is La Fonda on the Plaza, a legendary landmark hotel situated at the location of the
original inn (or fonda) built over 400 years ago during Santa Fe’s founding. After a recent renovation in 2009, La Fonda enjoys modern
amenities while still exhibiting the hand painted glass windows and Spanish architecture for which it is renowned worldwide.
A block of rooms have been set aside for conference attendees at a special conference rate of $139.00 per night for single/double
occupancy with $15.00 per additional guest. Most guest rooms feature excellent views of Santa Fe’s southwestern
plazas or the mountains of northern New Mexico.
To receive the conference rate, attendees should call (1-800-523-5002) or visit online www.lafondasantafe.com
and use the discount Group Code PMHVC2014. Hotel reservations must be made before May 8th,
2014 to receive the discounted rate, and is subject to hotel availability.
Alternate hotel accommodations in the event of unavailability of the primary hotel have been arranged with the nearby
La Posada de Santa Fe.
The special conference rate for this hotel is $155.00/night for single/double occupancy with $20.00 per additional guest. To receive the
conference rate, attendees should call (505-954-9686) or visit online www.laposadadesantafe.com and reference

Major airlines serve Santa Fe via the Albuquerque International Sunport, just 60 miles to the south of Santa Fe.
Regular shuttle bus service and the New Mexico Rail Runner connect the two cities, and rental cars are readily available.
The best shuttle service from the Albuquerque Sunport to Santa Fe is with the Sandia Shuttle Service. We have negotiated a reduced price for conference
attendees of $40/person roundtrip. Please contact Sandia Shuttle at (888-775-5696) and use the promotion code “2014 IEEE PMC” to receive the
discount, or visit http://www.sandiashuttle.com/ for more details.
Another option is the Santa Fe Municipal Airport which offer regular flights from a few major cities on an everyday basis.
These flights sell out quickly and may be subject to change on various days. (a.) Four flights daily during the summer through American Airlines (American Eagle) from
Dallas Ft-Worth, and one flight daily from Los Angeles. (b.) Two flights daily through United Airlines from Denver. (c.) One flight daily through Great Lakes Airlines from Denver,
with possible additional flight daily with Frontier Airlines.
A third option (for the scenic type) is to take the Rail Runner Train from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. The price is $10 each way. There is a free shuttle that transits between
the Albuquerque Sunport and the Albuquerque train depot, and the train drops off in the Santa Fe train depot approximately 15 minutes walking distance from
the conference hotel. The ride time is approximately 80 minutes. The train leaves both cities at various times every day, so please check the
train website for full schedule and further details.
