Held in conjunction with "E-Day" the College of Engineering open house for middle and high school students.
TEAMS is a one day, two-part national competition, sponsored by JETS, challenging high school students in grades 9-12 to work together as a team to apply knowledge learned in the classroom to real-world engineering problems. Competitions are held on college and university campuses across the country in February and March and inspire creativity, team-work, critical thinking, and peer-to-peer cooperation.
TEAMS is not a straight math competition. TEAMS involves mathematical understanding and science reasoning, as well as creativity and analytical and writing skills... much like the work of real engineers.
